Hello Hosts and Helpers!
Attached you will find the Host and Helper notes for Alpha. You may click on the Notes for Lesson #5 which has suggested questions for tonight's discussion group.
We will meet at 5:30 pm as usual and review the training video.
Tonight's session is an introduction to prayer. Some of our guests are new to the idea of faith and may not know how to pray. It is important not to overwhelm them with various prayer methods and prayers. It is suggested that at the end of the session you say a short prayer of gratitude such as, "Thank you God for bringing us together tonight." Short and simple.
The Day-Away is on Oct. 24, 8:30 am - 3:00 pm at St. Gabriel's in Upton. I hope you can attend.
Please note that the training for the Day Away is Thursday, Oct. 22 at 6:30 pm at OLV. We will watch a short training video and also hear from Diahne Goodwin who works for Alpha.
